Tickets are still on sale for the LA Food Fest! Check out their site here. We hope to see you there!

We were given a glimpse at all the goodies that are in store for the LA Food Fest, June 10th, 2017, 2 – 7 PM at LA Memorial Coliseum, 3911 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90037.

Get out those #stretchypants! The LA Food Fest always features award-winning chefs and restaurants, plenty of food stands, food trucks and carts, a beer garden, cocktail bars, coffee, desserts… basically everything under the sun!

For the $65 general admission ticket, LA Food Fest offers 100+ food and beverage vendors. For the $95 VIP ticket, attendees are given early entry and access to the VIP Lounge.

We were at LA Food Fest last year and this year, we’re even more excited because many foodie businesses we’ve featured on GOF in the past are going to be there serving up bites. It’s always good to see your friends! There will also be some new faces, and we’re excited to see them as well.

First up, our pals at Pasta Sisters will be there serving up their Homemade Gnocchi with Arribbiata. This gnocchi dish is pillowy soft with a perfect spicy tomato kick in the sauce. Fans of Italian cuisine will fall in love with this growing business.

Artichoke Empanadas

barcito, an Argentine-Inspired restaurant in DTLA, will be serving up their artichoke empanadas. These are packed with veggies, crispy on the outside and the creamy sauce is delightful.

Green Chorizo Taco

LA’s favorite Chori-Man has made a couple of appearances on Girls on Food in the past (here and here) and we’re always happy to bump into him. He’ll be serving up his famous green chorizo taco and I’m sure we’ll be getting back in the lines for seconds!

Below are a couple of vendors we tasted for the first time at the LA Food Fest Media Preview:

Citrus Royal Salmon

The citrus royal salmon rolls from Nushii: Sushi Burritos & Bowls were very fresh, perfect for the June heat! Not only was the roll fantastic, they follow the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch National Consumer Guide, so what you’re eating from them are only the best choices in seafood.

Brett Blossom Bière de Mars

We sipped down Ladyface Ale Companie’s Brett Blossom Bière de Mars, which is fruity and light, perfect for the LA Food Fest, since it is outdoors. We’re excited to check out this alehouse in Agoura Hills soon!

Julianne

Actress and Founder of Girls on Food: I was born and raised in the suburbs of Sacramento, California. I grew up a typical “McDonald’s kid”. I was very picky about what I ate and refused to try new foods. No fun, I know. My Mom started taking me on trips to Europe when I was a teenager and that’s when my palate for finer foods began to develop. Some of my most memorable favorite meals include Veal Bolognese in Rome, Gyros in Athens, Paella in Lisbon and Duck L’Orange in Paris. While this helped me grow out of a fast food phase, I still eat out quite a bit. I know I should be at home cooking, but I love dining out. I started working in restaurants in various front of the house positions at age 15. Since my start, I’ve worked in every casual restaurant setting you can think of: a teriyaki stand, brewery, sushi nightclub, trendy Mexican, family-style Italian, American diner, pizza parlor and even a BLT themed food truck. I can't help but notice that many of the LA food bloggers don't have any sort of background working in a restaurant. A lot of my perspective on food and dining out comes from my years of experience in the biz. Since starting this blog, I have shot appearances on a couple of cooking competition shows as a taster (including MasterChef Junior and another upcoming show). We have also started producing a Youtube Channel. IMDb page here: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2023647/ For this site I contribute content from all over Los Angeles (and the world) to showcase my favorite fine-dining spots, steakhouses, exclusive supper clubs, Hollywood nightlife and our very own #GOFx events, which I plan and coordinate.
