Located in the heart of the Arts District in Downtown Las Vegas, I could not imagine a more perfect fast, casual restaurant to be on the corner of 3rd Street (imagine this place during First Friday). Rock’N’oodles is THE place for pasta-lovin’, rock aficionados. The whole restaurant is centered around Rock and Roll with the menu items named after famous songs. While waiting, customers are able to browse through the plaques of famous artists. It’s a great way to pass time since all their dishes are made fresh from scratch!

“Sweet home Alabama
Lord, I’m coming home to you”

I ordered the Sweet Home Alabama (as persuaded by the reviewers on Yelp) and let me tell you, it did not disappoint at all! It tasted equally as amazing as how easily you can get the song stuck in your head. The Sweet Home Alabama is basically a creamy macaroni and cheese dish topped with popcorn chicken and sweet barbecue sauce. You can get either the full plate or the half bowl, I went with the full plate because WHY NOT?! It was one of the best decisions I have made.

I’ve heard high praises for Born on the Bayou and The Devil Went Down to Georgia as well. So readers, go check this place out and tell me how they taste!

Tips:

The restaurant is tinier in size in comparison to other restaurants. It sits about 12 people comfortably inside and about 6 outside. Make sure to come early or during an off-time to be able to fully enjoy your pasta! They do offer take-out as well, so that is always an option!

Make sure to bring your camera because there are plenty of photo opps around the Arts District! I mean, even the parking lot is worthy enough location to have a photo shoot.

So let me give you the basics- I was born in Taiwan, raised in the Philippines, and grew up in Los Angeles. I am currently living in Las Vegas, enjoying everything it has to offer on and off the Strip. I’m an aspiring event planner and a self-proclaimed fries connoisseur. But wait, did I mention I can’t cook? No matter where I’ve moved, I have always been spoiled with having good food around me. It’s hard to stay home when my stomach is itching for the next food adventure. From local boba joints to highly-rated celebrity chef restaurants, it’s hard to resist going out to eat when I know there’s an endless amount of possibilities out there! So follow along with me as I explore the foodie paradise that is Las Vegas!
